Cooking Blog: Sisig Tofu For Our Lunch
Hello, how are you? Tofu is always sold out when my mom does her weekly market, and I feel bad that my cousin is craving it LOL. So this week they're getting lucky because they bought one, and I think since then we kept eating it. There was this one time I experimented with changing the usual recipe I cook, and I messed it up, and my cousin told me that he likes the original recipe more, so I will never do that again LOL.
So today, I am going to show you how I cook the only tofu dish I cook, which is Sisig tofu, the healthy version of the classic sisig, which uses some specific part of a pork
Ingredients I Used:
Ingredients I Used:
- Block of Tofu
- Half Cup Cooking Oil
- Salt
- Ground Pepper
- 1 Bulb Garlic
- 3 Red Onion
- Green Chilis
- 1 Red Chili
- 2 Calamansi
- Canned Tuna
- Two Eggs
- 2 tsp. Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp. Oyster Sauce
Let's Cook!
Let's Cook!
In a hot pan, I added about half a cup of cooking oil and a mix of salt and pepper, this makes the tofu taste delicious.
And then I added the tofu sliced into cubes and then fried it until crispy. And then I set them aside for later.
Before I added the next ingredients, I reduced the cooking to two tablespoons, and then I added the aromatics like garlic and red onion.
And then I added the green chilis and one red chili.
After that, I added the canned tuna, but first I removed the extra oil inside.
And then cook the tuna until most of the moisture is gone, and then I set it aside from the pan.
And then I cracked two eggs in that empty side.
And then I fried it by cooking it like scrambled eggs. And set aside the scrambled eggs.
And then continued cooking the tuna until the crispy part started appearing on the tuna.
Then after that, I added just a teaspoon of soy sauce and mixed.
Then I added a tablespoon of oyster sauce.
Mix everything, and then I added the tofu and egg I cooked earlier.
Mix everything until well combined. And then I added a tablespoon and a teaspoon of oyster and soy sauce.
It should look like this after, and then I cut a green chili, red onion, and two calamansi for garnish.
Serve hot and plated.
Happy eating! :D
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
