Create with love

My latest commission that has been in the works for six weeks straight! The process of this piece was so energizing for me. As a mother of two it’s hard for me to find the space and time to my self never mind to quite meditation. I practice mindfulness in all I do but to have quite meditating practice is few and far between at this point with two under four. But painting painting is that time for me that time when the mind stills and to be honest I disappear most of the time and when I look back at what I have created it amazes me cause I don’t know where it came from or how I did it. But I do... and I am grateful for the time, Space and gift that has been given to me from many generations of artist creating in my bloodline.
This piece is for a little boy who was just born his father commissioned me to paint a piece of a fox with arbutus leaves (he proposed to his wife under an arbutus tree) and a Rock with love etched into it (which was under that tree that beautiful day she said yes).
I am super happy with how it turned out.
