End of an Unforgettable Work Immersion Experience

Good day, my dearest Hive friends! This blog is the last part of my immersion experience. I hope you enjoyed reading my work immersion blogs.

DAY 7

On Day 7, we h/ad our immersion at Bogo Proper instead of the Main office which is located at Malingin, Bogo City, Cebu. One of our instructors, Engr. Armas taught us about the different types of cables like the three-phase, V-phase, and single-phase.

I would like to give a huge shoutout to my gastador friends. I love you guys. (NO PICTURE HUHU)

In the afternoon, a junior foreman showed us the different types of wiring materials and grouped us into five and asked us wiring to enumerate some of the materials. It felt like a moving exam, but thankfully my group got a perfect score. On the way home, I kept observing electrical cables around us and applying what I learned.

DAY 8

On Day 8, we learned how to compute electric bills, which was really practical. The instructor showed us different versions of electric meters, and it was fascinating to see how they work.

I felt like I was exploring other offices within CEBECO as we moved around. It was a busy day but very exciting because I got to understand the billing process better. I left feeling more confident about electricity management.

DAY 9

Day 9 was all about transformers, and we learned their functions and importance. I even tried to lift one, but it was so heavy that I almost gave up! The hands-on experience made me appreciate the equipment more. Our teacher explained how transformers help in voltage regulation. By the end of the day, I felt more knowledgeable about electrical distribution.

DAY 10

On the last day, we were asked to create an artwork based on our experience at CEBECO. It was a fun and creative way to reflect on everything we learned.

After finishing the artwork, we returned our DTR and ID passes. I felt a mix of sadness and accomplishment as the immersion came to an end. This experience has definitely inspired me to learn more about the electrical field.

And this wraps up my work immersion journey. I would like to thank CEBECO II for everything. I am truly grateful for the experience. I honestly did not expect that I would long so much for my experience in CEBECO II. I really miss it so much, and I would choose CEBECO II as my work immersion site in every lifetime.

To the friends I met along the way, thank you, and see you soon, future engineers!

Arigato, CEBECO II!
