My view of the future is growing dim

This has been a long depressing slope. It seems that everything I touch goes to Sh**

My veggie garden is progressing rather well, I am eating lettuce right now I picked this morning (with fresh Basil as well)

If I can keep it from being choked by that wild strawberry.

I had bought a large ceramic jug with a hole in the side for use in a water feature.

I am lusting after having the sound of running water around me, but... my cats have other ideas

For days I struggled to get the flow from a pump that was too small to work and stay sealed, but I continued having to fill the basin; where was the water going?

I stopped this iteration, then brought out a pump I'd bought that first year but never connected or plugged it up, it had an incredible flow, but still...
I asked my neighbor if he had a PVC cutting tool so I could cut a new feed line, and when he brought it over yesterday I suddenly had a severe spasm in my right hip, which has NEVER happened before. I nearly fell.
After he left, I did get all that connected with a deeper basin, but still had to shut it down after about 45 min

So... now I still don't have a waterfall, but I think I have a handle on it.
BUT each time I swing the mattock of shovel, I have to stop after 3 or 4 swings to stop gasping.
My new windows (which were initiated in early Feb and were paid ½ up front) are finally supposed to be coming on May 9th
I have not heard of any progress on a grant to help me get my home safer and the moldy shower repaired/replaced.

↑These steps are not up to code and I have to be very careful, no hand rails.
↓The front steps are worse as there is farther for me to fall

My future just doesn't seem very bright. I don't have any friends here other than my immediate neighbors.
But I have people hitting me up for $ all the time. That in and of itself is depressing.
I live alone so it isn't easy to get help when I need it unless I pay someone to come here at THEIR convenience.
My future is dimming, will I make it to my 71st Birthday in August?
The jury is still out on that.
