Chicken Salad

Ingredients
๐ 2 cups of cooked chicken, shredded
๐ฅ 1 cup of celery, diced

1/4 cup of red onion, chopped
๐ถ๏ธ 1/2 a bell pepper, any color, diced
๐ 1/3 cup of Craisins
๐ฐ 1/3 cup of toasted almonds, chopped
๐ฅ 1 cup of mayonnaise
๐ฅ 2 tablespoons of sour cream
๐ฅ 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
๐ง 1/4 teaspoon of salt
๐ง 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
๐ถ๏ธ 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions
1- Prepare the Chicken:
- If not already cooked, boil or roast the chicken beforehand.
- Let it cool and then shred it into bite-sized pieces.
2- Chop the Vegetables:
- Dice the celery, chop the red onion, and dice the bell pepper.
- Make sure all pieces are relatively uniform for an even distribution of flavors.
3- Mix the Base:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and Dijon mustard.
- Whisk them together until smooth.
4- Season the Dressing:
- Add the salt, garlic powder, and black pepper to the dressing mixture.
- Stir until the seasoning is well incorporated.
5- Combine All Ingredients:
- Add the shredded chicken, diced celery, chopped red onion, bell pepper, Craisins, and chopped almonds to the bowl with the dressing.
- Mix until all ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
6- Chill:
- For best results, cover the chicken salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
