A few days ago, I made a post here saying that I wanted to make chocolate. Well, yesterday, I finally left the cacao beans drying in the sun all day.

After waiting five days for the cacao to ferment, it was time to begin an important stage of the process, since fermentation helps develop the characteristic flavor of chocolate.

The problem was that it started raining at the end of the day, so I was not able to roast the beans. Another problem is that I will only be back home tomorrow, so I asked my wife to put the beans out to dry again.

Tomorrow, if we have enough time, we will finally make our real homemade chocolate. After all, it seems to be getting harder and harder to find real chocolate in the supermarkets in my country. 🍫

Há alguns dias, fiz uma postagem aqui contando que queria fazer chocolate. Pois bem, ontem finalmente deixei as sementes de cacau secando ao sol durante todo o dia.

Depois de cinco dias esperando o cacau fermentar, chegou o momento de iniciar uma etapa importante do processo, pois a fermentação ajuda a desenvolver o sabor característico do chocolate.

O problema é que, no final do dia, começou a chover e não foi possível torrar as sementes. Outro problema é que só voltarei para casa amanhã, então pedi à minha esposa que colocasse as sementes para secar novamente.

Amanhã, se der tempo, finalmente vamos fazer nosso verdadeiro chocolate caseiro. Afinal, parece que está cada vez mais difícil encontrar chocolate de verdade nos mercados do meu país. 🍫
