The Ultimate Cast Iron Cheeseburger
This is a cheeseburger that I cooked for my son in my Nest Homeware cast iron skillet. It is rare that I get to cook just one cheeseburger, so I put a lot of love into this one! The is nothing like a burger cooked in cast iron.

This video is meant to demonstrate the method. Season you burger however you like, use whatever cheese you like, and cook to whatever doneness you like. It's your burger – do it your way!!

Before cooking, the skillet was preheated to 425º F. This temperature works well with thick burgers. For thinner burgers, go with a higher temperature so that the crust forms quickly without overcooking. I use an infrared thermometer to measure skillet temperatures. I find it to be a very valuable tool when exact temperatures matter.
