Easy Butter Chicken

Easy butter chicken

½ cup plain greek style yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon haldi
2 teaspoon garam masala
1 n1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground jeera
1⁄2 tablespoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon minced garlic
500-600 grm chicken fillets cut into pieces.
Salt and Pepper
1 tablespoon oil or butter
1 cup pureed tomatoes
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup heavy cream

Cut chicken into pieces, and season with a little salt and pepper. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the plain yogurt with the lemon juice, tumeric, garam masala, chili powder, cumin, ginger paste, minced garlic and toss chicken.
Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour or more.
Heat the oil or butter in a pan.
Add the chicken coated in the Marinade and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add the pureed tomato, sugar and salt.
Turn down to low and cover and cook. Let simmer for 20 minutues.
Add the cream, and stir well.
Garnish with cilantro leaves.
Serve over rice and enjoy!:)
