Frostguard Warrior Led Me to Victory — Taking Sides Ruleset Was New to Me

In today's 41 mana battle I had a very interesting battle with only one ruleset and it was quite simple and easy to understand.

There were no special restrictions or complicated rules that required a unique strategy or forced you to choose specific monsters.

However this was the first time I had encountered this ruleset in one of my battles so I made sure to understand it properly before entering the match.

The ruleset was called Taking Sides.

TAKING SIDES

In this ruleset you cannot summon any Neutral monsters. Your entire team depends on the Splinter (ARCHON) you choose. If you select the Water Splinter then all of your monsters must also belong to the Water element. You cannot use Neutral cards or monsters from other elements like Fire, Life or Dragon. That is the only restriction in this ruleset.

Because of this it is very important to know which Splinter has the strongest cards in your collection. If choosing the Water Splinter gives you access to your best monsters and allows you to build a strong strategy then it is the best choice for the battle.

Since I have some very good Water cards I selected Marlai Singariel as my summoner.

This summoner gives +1 Magic attack to all friendly monsters. However I only had one magic attacker on my team so I couldn't make full use of this ability.

My strategy was simple. I placed a strong tank with high armor good health and melee attack in the front position.

In the second position I used another melee monster with the Reach ability allowing it to attack from the second position.

In the middle of my lineup I placed a combination of ranged and magic attackers so they could continuously deal damage while my two front line monsters absorbed the enemy attacks.

Finally I placed a powerful ranged attacker in the last position.

As soon as the battle started both teams exchanged heavy attacks. However because of my strong monster selection and proper positioning I quickly destroyed my opponent's frontline tank. My ranged attackers then continued dealing damage eliminating the enemy monsters one by one until I secured a comfortable victory.

The Frostguard Warrior was my favorite monster in this battle and deserves the title of Man of the Match. Its powerful attacks played a key role in breaking through the enemy's front line and helped me win the battle.

This battle once again showed that if you understand the ruleset build the right team and follow a solid strategy your chances of winning increase significantly. On the other hand if you ignore the ruleset or make small mistakes the battle can become much more difficult.

What monsters would you choose and what strategy would you use in this type of ruleset? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.

I hope you find this post useful and informative.. If you do, please remember to reblog it so that it reaches as many people as possible and that they can benefit the most from it. Also remember to upvote which will help me financially and grow my account.
