I Won a 14 Mana Battle with Just One Monster — "Shape Shift Happens" Left Me Confused
In Splinterlands battles there are still some rulesets that remain confusing for me and to understand them I need to play more battles. Just like in today's 14 mana battle I got to play a wonderful and interesting battle.
And this is happening continuously. many of the battles whose content I want to share are coming to me in the form of low mana battles. The good thing is that in almost all of these low mana battle I am winning by following a specific strategy.
In today's battle there were two rulesets and one of them remained confusing for me until the very end. So I had to apply a simple strategy so that I could avoid the effects of that confusing ruleset.
First lets understand what these two rulesets are and what strategy you should apply.
Today's two rulesets were Shape Shift Happens and Aim True.
SHAPESHIFT
Shape Shift Happens was quite confusing for me. I was thinking that since this is a low mana battle if I select only two or three monster cards then what exactly will happen in the Shape Shift Happens ruleset?
As far as I know and from what I have researched, in the Shape Shift Happens ruleset, every monster transforms into a random monster of the same rarity at the start of the battle.
In other words any of your monsters can change into another monster of the same rarity and shift its form. That was the part that confused me.
From my understanding only a flexible strategy or strong summoners can help you deal with this ruleset. Because if your available monsters are weak then due to Shape Shift your other monsters can also transform into weak monsters of the same rarity.
Therefore I felt that if I selected more monsters I would also need to choose stronger ones.
But since I didn't have many good low mana cards I had no choice but to select only one monster card so that I could avoid this ruleset.
AIM TRUE
The second ruleset is called Aim True. In this ruleset your attacks never miss. All of your attacking monsters will always hit the enemy directly.
Therefore having a heavy striker becomes much more valuable in this ruleset and that strategy can become the key to victory.
This was a 14 mana battle which is considered a very low mana battle and these battles are often confusing for me because there are fewer mana options and choosing monsters becomes difficult.
So, I selected an Archon that gives +1 Health and I chose only one monster that is Kicking Roc because it is also a heavy striker. It has 3 attack power.
In this way I bypassed the Shape Shift Happens ruleset by using only one monster and at the same time I took advantage of the Aim True ruleset by choosing a heavy striker that could never miss.
My opponent, on the other hand selected two monsters.
It was a very short battle and was decided in just two rounds.
My only hope was that my monster would destroy the enemy's front line. After that the second monster my opponent had selected had no attack power.
And that is exactly what happened. Once the front line monster was eliminated I easily destroyed the secondary tank as well and secured a great victory.
What would be your strategy in this type of ruleset and which monsters do you prefer the most? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
I hope you find this post useful and informative.. If you do, please remember to reblog it so that it reaches as many people as possible and that they can benefit the most from it. Also remember to upvote which will help me financially and grow my account.
