How do we deal with addiction in life? Part 1 || MCGI topic review

The pleasure of sin is something that brings about addiction as humans will always want to satisfy the flesh. The flesh is the enemy of the spirit and in satisfying it, people become addicted to drugs, alcohol and the likes.

No wonder Bro. Eli told us that all over the globe, drugs and alcohol are what people take to satisfy themselves. He said, people now take drugs that can destroy them in less than 24 hours.

He said people that take it turn to something else whenever they take it. He said some even turned to cannibals just because of drugs.

Furthermore Bro. Eli shared his own experience about how he nearly became addicted to cigarettes, but that when he realized that the word of God is against it, he stopped it and that's before he joined the church of God.

Bro. Eli made reference to the book of Hebrews 11:24-25 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

So, with the scriptural verse above, one would see that Moses denied himself of the pleasure of sin and accepted to suffer with the Israelite.

In conclusion, one needs to deny himself so as to be free from addiction which is against the spirit of God. Addiction is something that one must deal with so be free from bondage.
