Continuous Learning Purpose
To share lessons Amie has learned from being a part of the Hive blockchain community
Priceless Lessons Hive Taught Me.
Learning is a continuous process and until one dies, one never stops learning.
Joining Hive blockchain was the best decision ever and I am so happy to share with you what Hive has taught me so far.
Discipline.
This is the first thing I learned in Hive, starting from the first day I dropped my introductory post, I learned that Hive doesn't tolerate any form of plagiarism and low-effort posts this means I must constantly put in so much effort on my post and this calls for discipline.
Also, I learned that every community has its own rule and for every contest, there's a rule and time frame. It requires discipline to meet up deadlines and not default, that's one valuable lesson I have learned from Hive.
Reciprocity & Support
If you want a friend, you have to be a friend.
It's that simple, this taught me the power of engagement, visiting other people's blogs and leaving a nice and genuine comment will eventually lead them to your blog, if not today, someday.
I admire how people are so quick to support others in growth and are ready to answer any questions and help you navigate around here, I took it upon myself to also reciprocate this help and love to those who are still struggling to navigate around here.
This has helped me connect with great minds here on the blockchain, and I am amazed at how my blog has grown in so little time.
Creativity, Uniqueness & Industriousness
Through the contest here in each community I learned creativity, yes a lot of people surely attempt the same prompt, but for mine to stand out, I need to put in creativity and uniqueness both in my style of writing and in my choice of words and photos.
I get creative using different font styles, colours and sometimes creating my photos using the #Canva App.
Paying attention to details.
Something happened on Tuesday when I joined a community for the first time and attempted a prompt.
I didn't pay attention to the least detail in the prompt, but thankfully my attention was called to it and I quickly corrected it, then I realized it is very important to pay attention to details no matter how small they may be.
Consistency
Success doesn't just happen overnight, it requires diligence and hard work.
Success can only be attained by consistent actions, which means waking up and showing up and looking for ways to improve writing skills, one who wants to transform from average to excellent but be consistent at what they do.
I am so happy at how consistent I have become here and how it has transformed my writing skills a lot.
Versatility
Hive is for everyone who cares to join, Hive is not rigid, it is versatile and I have learned to be prolific too, little did I know I could write fiction, non-fiction, poems, Diy projects, music, and more.
I keep exploring and keep being prolific and this has helped me learn about different cultures, the use of literary terms, story-writing techniques, and new life hacks.
Gratitude.
A simple thank you goes a long one here on Hive, since I am not entitled to anything, I learned that when I appreciate the little things people do for me, I gain more.
I have enjoyed so many perks here on Hive simply for being thankful, I have grained genuine friends who genuinely support me and teach me every day to be better here on Hive.
I hope to learn more and connect with many more people.
