04 Float, 2016

Hi! I have brought another work to share with the community today.
Its a mixed media sculpture I made about a year ago. Using ply wood, metal screws, colored thread and ceramics.

This work was a part of an assignment given to me as I started at Emily Carr University of Art+Design. The theme was "synesthesia", thinking of what if the fragrance of fresh flower and leaves were like if it was visualized.

So I made pollens out of ceramics and connected them with a colored thread to visualize a floating pollens above the flowers. Wooden frame was not the best intention (I actually booked a small gallery space to install the ceamic pollens like if they were floaring on air at the instituition but sadly sometimes life happens, so I had to give it up.)

Pardon me with the quality of these photos compared to other works. (Again wasnt the best time to take proper photos)
