03 Drawings and Illustration

Hi again everyone, my posting today is not a ceramic sculpture (surprise!).

I have been actually doing a lot of drawings (simple pencil or charcoal on paper) and watercolor and China ink.
Looking through my drawings I realized that I havnt done much if colored illustrations. Well, on e reason is that monotone medium (as stated above: pencil, charcoal and ink) is cheaper to use than colour (paints, pastels, colour pencils etc) for my student budget. Second reason is that I like the simple black and whiteness or building up tones using just few tones.

While keeping my mediums simple, I try to manage my work on relatively large scale (like 18"x 24" and bigger like the anatomical drawings below).

And some landscape experiments that I did. Ink drawing with paper on paper. Charcoal drawing with just direction of the lines, cutting out i to pieces and so on.

My colored work is usually watercolor, its affordable, managable to work in small spaces and light. But most of all I enjoy the opaqueness and developing the image as I build up layer by layer. It satisfies me alot.
