Potentially dumb question - How long does it take to get SteemPower for curating posts ?

Hi, i'm quite new to Steemit and slowly started to comment and curate posts (still working on my own posts, and learning "How to" make successful ones), and i'm wondering how long does it typically take to start seeing rewards for curating popular posts ?

I have invested a tiny portion (10%) of the little BTCs I had into SteemPower so I have slightly more than a fresh user, and according to steemd.com, my voting power is now 90.9233% (was 99% earlier today .... I also wonder about that O_o) ..

Am I just impatient, or did I miss on the concept entirely ?
