Morning thoughts on hardship and courage (Feb 25, 2026)
There is nothing wrong with enduring hardship for the benefit of those who come after you. The worst thing you can do is stand before a ladder and spend the rest of your life marveling at it from the ground.
There is no such thing as a free lunch under the sun. If you want something, go and get it.
There are no guarantees of success, but if you aim high enough, even a miss will still place you above average.
Life responds in proportion to courage. As Dan Peña says, when you become fearless, life becomes limitless.
Ask yourself how the best version of you would approach this day. If you can act that way, even briefly, you are already becoming that person.
There are no real barriers between you and your golden era except those in your mind. The roles we play are habits, and once you see that, the illusion loses its grip.
You may doubt it, but you cannot afford to waste another day or dismiss another choice as insignificant. Everything counts! Every minute, every hour, every day, until the end.
There are no trivial actions. How you do one thing is how you do everything.
Take care, and have a great day.
P.S. Try not to label every challenge as a problem or as suffering. When you reduce the weight you assign to things, you often find they become easier to overcome (speaking from experience).
