MONOMAD: Portrait at the estuary of Kuala Meuraxa
My camera captured more than a portrait of fishermen at the Kuala Meuraxa estuary, Lhokseumawe, Aceh, on December 12, 2024. Their gazes, relaxed body gestures, and even requests to be immortalized, reflect familiarity and friendliness. For them, this estuary is not just a place to anchor, but also an inseparable part of their daily lives. Knowing they were used as photography subjects seemed like a moment to share stories, where they openly showed their activities and enthusiastic faces.
This last portrait captures the moment of togetherness of my two friends, and
. We gathered at the estuary of Kuala Meuraxa.
I captured these views with a Sony A7 III camera combined with a Canon 100-400 lens using Metabones synchronization.
