DAILY LIFE STORY: "Cooking Ready-to-Fry Pork Shanghai"
There are times when we crave certain foods, and here at home, we mostly think of having Lumpiang Shanghai. It's a very popular dish, especially during occasions, such as birthdays. When we were talking about what to have for breakfast, it just came out in our minds.
Since we do not have enough time to prepare a homemade Shanghai, we have decided to go to the local market and buy the ones that are ready to cook. We bought one pack and, when we got home, cooked it right away.
While frying the lumpia, we could smell its aroma, and it made us want to take a bite. But we needed to wait for a few more minutes before eating. We just fried all 18 pieces inside the pack. Then, we prepared some sauce for it. A mixture of ketchup and a portion of mayonnaise – this combination is perfect for this.
After cooking and preparing the sauce, we put everything on the plate, and it’s ready for our breakfast. We started eating it with rice, and our niece and nephews loved it. They told us to cook some more next time. Indeed, a perfect pack of Lumpiang Shanghai for our cravings!
