embracing the new normal, work, career and your life is fundamentally changed.

We are not going back to a normal time.

That’s not to say the life you had before has gone, not at all, it’s just different from here on out. For the past eight weeks I’ve been noodling my experience of it both from my perspective and trying to get a handle on what it must feel like for other people out there too.

I feel sad for the front of the line care workers that are getting hit hard by such volumes of cases each day and to watch people they cannot save pass and to put themselves in such life changing situations like that every single day, not the kind of care worker life they expected — it’s hard to fathom that after the most worst start of 2020 ever we were also hit with this.

From potential world war three and just the general re-indexing of the world from all directions it seems we are on the cusp of a now or never to a large number of the ways things have been and how they could be — the literal rule book is being thrown out of the window daily as new modifications to life on planet earth are pulled together.

It’s kinda the beautiful organised rally of chaos as we shapeshift into a new reality each and everyday, adapting and running faster to board the train (hyperloops anyone?) to EVAC away from the city at lighting speed — literally overnight we because some kind of screen connected bladerunner.

I’ve finally given in to all the change. I know we are not going back like before. I’m not waiting for my favourite place to re-open like it was and things will be normal. This changed us, will continue to change us and we must adapt to how rapidly the world is too.

It’s now or never on food production, climate change, digital money and the things we do as a species on this planet. Mother nature has spoken and is evolving regardless as she does if we are here or not. If you want to be we all need to not only be more well connected humans providing in time ability, skill and knowledge but also help build the bricks of the next world that’s just over the horizon.

It’s gonna be here faster than you can blink.
