Sea Cottage Life

I normally don't write so little, but since we are about to head out on the boat to another island (one of the over 50,000 of them here), I don't have a lot of time. But, I wanted to show some of the sights of what we have seen, which is incredibly beautiful. Summer cottages in Finland tend to have a couple buildings, and this one has an additional sleeping room that my wife and I had overnight, that looks over the water. It was sunny at 430am, but it didn't matter, because it is so beautiful.

We had to take a few ferries to get here, and the cottage runs on solar panels and a backup generator if needed, with an outdoor compost toilet, but it is awesome. Our friends have done an amazing job of making the cottage feel luxurious, but still have all the normal cottage life parts. It really feels like we are in a completely different land.

Smallsteps is loving it and Puusti the Dog is living his best life, wandering around and enjoying being free as a bird. There is another dog here also, Tyyne, and she and Puusti are spending a lot of time together, playing and roughhousing.

It was a bit windy yesterday, but I quite love the sea breeze, and today it is still, so there shouldn't be too many waves which is good, because I get seasick. Still, I am looking forward to another boat ride (they picked us up in a boat to get to their small island) and seeing what else there is around the place.

I will get back to this later, but for now, enjoy some pictures!!!
