Bingo Night Out - By Sunscape

I did it, I stepped out of my comfort zone and drove 33 miles at night to a bingo hall. First of all, I don't drive at night, plus it is winter, and it was a long drive by myself. Alas, I made it to the Moose Lodge to meet my brother for a night on the town, lol.



This is one of the call boards that you can watch to see what numbers have been called for each game.



My brother is a member of the club and cooks and bartends here every week. He invited me to play with some of his friends. This is his little wolf mascot that always sits on the table.

Well, this night the wolf was definitely a lucky mascot for our table. Three out of the four of us won. The above purple card was a winner for me with the "Crazy L" pattern. I won $30 with that card because there was another winner at the same time so we split the pot.

Mind you, I have not played bingo since my mom passed away 8 years ago. We used to go to different places together to play every month. I got brave and bought extra games to play and I had a tough time keeping up with so many to watch.



This was the second game I won that night for being the first person to fill the entire card. I won $75 for that game and everyone could not believe I had won another game. Over 120 people were playing that night so the competition was large.

The best part of the evening was a ticket drawing for a jackpot that had been building for the last year. If your ticket was drawn, you had to guess the location of a Queen of Hearts card. Apparently, no one had been successful to date.



Well, the wolf mascot came through for my brother, and his ticket was called that night. He guessed the correct placement of the card and won the jackpot of $6,240. We were so excited for him and everyone at the lodge was also happy that he was the big winner for the night.

I have to admit that it was a very fun night for us all and I am sure weather permitting I will be going again to play bingo at the Moose Lodge.
