Hello to all members of this community and sewing enthusiasts! Today I'm going to show you a simple project I made using a piece of fabric I'd been meaning to use for a while. It's a hair bandana that I think has a rather rustic or Cottagecore style ✨

To make the bandana, you need the fabric, which can be any kind you want, but it's recommended that it be thin so that it stretches with your hair; lace, if you want to add it; and elastic, 2cm wide by 10cm long.

Next, the pieces are cut from the fabric, with the measurements shown in the photograph:

When it came to sewing, I started with the 14x6 strip of fabric, into which the elastic would be inserted. It was sewn along one side, the piece was turned right side out, the elastic was inserted, and for extra security, I sewed a seam along both ends.

Once that was done, I hemmed the three long ends of the other piece. If you don't want to add lace, simply leave it as is. Otherwise, you can add lace. I added a small, simple lace to what would be the front and a more elaborate one to the sides.

Next, sew the elastic band to the ends of the triangular piece. To do this, wrap each end of the band around the ends of the other piece, sewing with a straight stitch.

And just like that, the bandana is finished 💜 As you can see, it's an easy sewing project. With the leftover fabric, I made a matching scrunchie.

I loved the final result, especially because, as I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I'd been looking for a good use for that little piece of fabric for quite some time, and I'm so glad it ended up becoming such a pretty accessory. I'd love to make more bandanas like this; they make me think of picnics. What do you think? Would you wear them? 👀

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de la costura! Hoy vengo a mostrarles un proyecto sencillo que hice utilizando un pedazo de tela que tenía bastante tiempo buscándole un uso. Se trata de una bandana para el cabello que me parece que tiene un estilo bastante campestre o Cottagecore ✨

Para realizar la bandana, se necesita la tela, la cual puede ser cualquiera que deseemos, pero recomendablemente que sea una delgada, para que ceda con nuestro cabello; encaje, si deseamos colocarle y goma, de 2cm de ancho por 10 cm de largo.

Luego, se cortan las piezas en la tela, con las medidas que se ven en la fotografía:

A la hora de coser, comencé con la tira de tela de 14x6, en la cual irá introducida la goma. Se cose por uno de los laterales, se voltea la pieza, se mete la goma y para una mayor fijación, pasé una costura por ambos extremos.

Una vez hecho esto, realicé un dobladillo en los tres extremos largos de la otra pieza. Si no queremos colocarle encaje, simplemente lo dejamos así. En caso contrario, podemos colocarle encaje. Yo le puse un encaje pequeño y sencillo en lo que sería la parte de enfrente y uno más extravagante en los lados.

Lo siguiente, sería coser la tira con la goma a los extremos de la pieza triangular. Para ello, se envuelve cada extremo de la tira a los de la otra pieza, cosiendo con una costura recta.

Y de esta forma, la bandana está lista 💜 Cómo pueden ver, es un proyecto de costura fácil de realizar. Con lo que sobró, hice un scrunchie que hiciera juego.

Amé el resultado final, sobre todo porque como comenté al inicio del post, tenía bastante tiempo buscándole un uso adecuado a ese trocito de tela y me alegro mucho de que terminase volviéndose un accesorio tan bonito. Me gustaría hacer más bandanas de este estilo que me hace pensar en un picnic ¿Y ustedes que opinan? ¿Las usarían? 👀
