A Tuesday walk with the wife
Today the wife had only a short shift at work so we decided this afternoon to go for a walk in nature. This time we went to an area about 25 km from our home , it's a little paradise for birds and a protected area during the breeding season . The Area we went to is called Eemmeer and it's about 5.2 squaremile according to wiki pedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eemmeer .
We parked the car on the far west side of the lake here https://maps.app.goo.gl/EiyujcJZ5vmk6f4b6 , there are several birdwatchers spots in the area but that is not why i came here today.
We just wanted to look and walk .
I used two cameras today was planing on doing a timelapse but the clouds didn't really help neither did the wind.
1 ) On our way to the area i came across this swann with three ducklings, mom didn't like the photographer so this was the only decent shot i could take.

3 ) In the next field more cows but even more blue herons , the first signs of a bird paradise .
4 ) More cows one normal milk and one chocolate milk ๐
5 )Peace and space for the birds .. info sign is in Dutch.
6 ) The direction towards the birdwatchers house , you can't see it in the photo but the grass field next to the ditch was filled with waterbirds breeding.

7 ) In between the graas and the reed there were some wild orchids flowering

8 ) I really should bring more lenses with me next time , although you can't really get to close because of the water level here.

9 ) In the distance you can see the open lake behind the reed.
10 ) Big flowering torch i think it's a Verbascum family not sure of the exact variety.
11 ) At the parking spot right behind the gate was a field with a lot of Matricaria flowering, enough for some tea if you like that.
12 ) This is that gate i was talking about and you can see the Matricaria flowers.
13 ) Getting really close in the flowers with the 15mm lens
14 ) A very nice photo for a jigsaw puzzle , good luck on fing that white and yellkow piece you need . ๐
15 ) It's just lovely to see al those wild flowers
16 ) same goes for the flowering grasses
17 ) But there isn't much to see of the lake behind the reed .
18 ) And another kind of Orchid
19 ) It's always a nice surpirse tosee new wild flowers in your local area , it's a sign that nature is slowly recovering again.
20 ) One last view over the lake , will try to find a differend angle next time , i was hoping on some cloud reflections on the water for a time lapse video but , no reflections this time .
