The Swat River (Phone Photography Contest)

In this scorching heat, all I can think of is: water. Fresh, cold and running water. However, last week, I had a chance to visit Swat Valley - one of the most beautiful northern area in Pakistan.

(Stay at Motorway)

Although, I was there for one field work, still I managed to escape from the team, and stood beside the river. The temperature was cold there, still I was enjoying every bit of it, without a care in the world. And, for a little while, the heat from Southern Punjab felt like a lost memory.

The giagantic mountains stood quietly in the distance, the clouds were playing hide and seek with the sun. Rocks were scattered across the site, many with centuries old, watching countless seasons, people and not getting bored.

This was the closest, I dared to go. The Swat River was kind of ruthless at that time. And, being honest, I was scared to feel its wrath.

Along with natural presence, there was also manmade system: the canal. ho

In the end, Swat leaves you with two things. One is full memory: mobile's plus mind's, and an immediate desire to plan your next visit before you have even reached home.
