World of Binaries (Entry for the Shadow Contest #431)

The world is full of binaries. There is light; there is shadow. Sunlight, from the mighty sun, enters through the windows, casting patterns. While, shadows quietly occupy the spaces in between. Neither side taking over the space completely.

We exist between contrast

As said earlier, we are built around binaries. Just like light and sshadow, success or failure or hope and despair. Human beings have the tendency to believe that life is all about reaching one side and leaving the other behind. Yet, the light would not be visible without the shadow; the same way, shadow would not exist without the light. And yes, they are not enemies. They are companions.

Endless Dreams

Just like this corridor, which does end, but stetches into the distance; humans and their dreams have no limit. We rarely have the idea about our ambitions, yet we continue moving. Every step reveals a little more of the path ahead while keeping yhe final destination blurred. Whether one succeeds or not, but the journey itself beholds a lot to catch.

Plants?

Even in this structuted environmment, there is the presence of greenery in the corridor. Nature, in all its form, always find a way to exist. Even being a sun lover, they have found a way to exist even in the shadows.

In the end, we walk through spaces full of light and shadow, carrying dreams that stretch beyond our sight. Sometimes, surrounded by beauty that we sometimes fail to notice because our eyes are looking for something farther away.
