Ivory tower down in the pit, the deep dark pit. The ivory tower glows and the little creatures scramble to climb it, attracted to the light like moths looking for the moon. The moon is so beautiful. I love that story, I forget what it's called, but it's a children's book Lochlan has about building a path to the moon. It's got photography and it's lovely and it's how I feel when I see the moon hanging low beyond downtown Los Angeles on an evening. Like I could just keep driving or walking out into the sky and arrive at the moon and chill there awhile. I need to work on a story, that's partly why I wanted to do a freewrite right now, so I can throw some ideas out of my brain onto the screen. Something about hitchhiking, something about toilets, something about spaghetti, something about a man sitting at a bus stop talking about fringe benefits, something about people dying, a person dying, something about about about about about about about about about about about people, yes, people, something about the moon, something about the moon talking to the people of downtown Los Angeles, something about something something something something something something something about people doing things like writing Free Palestine on phone poles, something about community meetings, something about people people people people people. My right hand really doing the work here with people something about about mostly people.
