Pond Skating

Here's a little secret skating spot we use when the ice is ideal. It's sort of rare around this part to get ice that lasts any length of time in a good enough state to skate on. If it's good, it's covered in heavy snow, or we'll get a bunch of rain and some warm days so it fluctuates whether it's solid enough to walk on.

This was one of those ideal days.

Hive account@landonator and I loaded the 4-wheeler up with some shovels and headed down on a sunny afternoon to clear of some freshly fallen snow. We had walked the dogs down the day prior and determined it would be good enough. The snow was light and fluffy, and only about an inch so it wasn't much of a chore to clear.
