Tele Tuesday - Going Crazy
I posted this last night, but 3speak was lagging a bit on processing uploads. So it is a day late for #TeleTuesday.
This week it is another piece from a Total Guitar magazine. This time it is issue 12 from November 1995. Some may know this as the slide guitar issue where they gave away glass bottle necks. I heard some guys got the contract to supply those and had a hard time producing them on time. I still have mine, but this song does not use it.
This is the solo from Queen's Crazy Little Thing Called Love. I had to relearn it to play it this time and it is tricky to play it at full speed with the backing track. I have played it better than this, but I always mess something up in front of the camera. My fingers just do not move quickly enough sometimes. It is not the hardest solo technically, but has lots of bends and double stops.
I know Brian May played a Telecaster on stage for this, but I think he switched to his home made guitar for the solo. He is a genius player with such a distinctive sound.
As usual I am playing my Benford Guitars custom Telecaster through a Zoom G3X.
Who else will join us for #TeleTuesday?
Rock on!
