Beer Saturday - Drink it loud!

I am away from home this weekend spending some time at the small seaside town of Newbiggin by the Sea in Northumberland. It was here that I encountered a beer that caught my interest.

I have never owned a Marshall guitar amplifier, but they are a big part of rock music since the 60s. I found this beer at The Inkspot, which is a small bar near where we are staying. They have a great range of beers in cans, bottles and on draught. You can try the draught beers and take some home. We had some of that too. That was a beer called Pint from a Manchester brewery. We had that with dinner last night an I enjoyed it.

I had the Marshall beer after we had been for some food from the local chippy. We actually had fish from there a couple of nights ago, but his time I had a veggie burger with chips and we sat on the wall my the beach.

I am not generally a lager drinker, but this was not bad. It is a reasonably strong 4.6% with a smooth taste. Obviously a good head that soon settled down. It is only a small tin, but I am not so concerned with quantity.

I could not resist trying this beer, but I do not think I will be looking it out in future. I just prefer ales. It was more a novelty choice.
