With feet on the ground | Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

I'm not clear why I started taking this kind of photos, it was probably for a very superficial reason: I just liked my shoes 😆, but as time went by the shots of my feet became recurrent, although for more interesting reasons, I think.

No tengo claro por qué comencé a hacer este tipo de fotos, probablemente fue por una razón muy superficial: simplemente me gustaban mis zapatos 😆, pero con el pasar del tiempo las tomas a mis pies se volvieron recurrentes, aunque por motivos más interesantes, pienso yo.

In different places, elements appeared that made me look at the ground beyond my shoes.

En lugares diversos fueron apareciendo elementos que me hicieron mirar hacia el suelo más allá de mi calzado.

In the cities, my attention is drawn to the particularities of the floors, the antique or classic ones are undoubtedly the most striking.

En las ciudades, mi atención se detiene en las particularidades de los pisos, los antiguos o clásicos sin duda son los más llamativos.

But modernity also offers remarkable things, this abstract design made with mosaics, for example, is very entertaining to look at.

Pero la modernidad también ofrece cosas notables, este diseño abstracto hecho con mosaicos, por ejemplo, es muy entretenido de mirar.

What about an industrial style abyss? I think it wouldn't be the same portraying it without putting your feet there, they give it dimension, perspective.

¿Qué tal un abismo estilo industrial? Creo que no sería lo mismo retratarlo sin poner los pies ahí, ellos le dan dimensión, perspectiva.

Now let's move on to the natural part, when reviewing my photos from different trips, there is never a lack of images of my feet on surfaces that we can find on a beach, a river, the mountains, etc.

Ahora pasemos a la parte natural, al revisar mis fotos de distintos viajes, nunca falta alguna imagen de mis pies sobre superficies que podemos encontrar en una playa, un río, la montaña, etc.

In a natural environment, how particular the soils can be increases, and so does my interest in wanting to capture them.

En un entorno natural, lo particulares que pueden llegar a ser los suelos aumenta, lo mismo pasa con mi interés por querer capturarlos.

And then there are also the photos driven by some elements that are actually the real protagonists, look at this specimen of jellyfish for example. My feet there are a simple reference so that you can see what is its size.

Y también están las fotos impulsadas por algunos elementos que en realidad son los verdaderos protagonistas, miren este ejemplar de medusa por ejemplo. Mis pies ahí son una simple referencia para que se pueda ver cuál es su tamaño.

Standing over danger can also be a thrilling image, whether it's on a rickety bridge or walking in your socks in the river to avoid slipping.

Estar parada sobre el peligro también puede ser una imagen emocionante, ya sea sobre un puente destartalado o caminando en calcetines por el río para evitar resbalarte.

And what about how far we can go with our feet? This is what I call an "achievement" image, reaching the top of a mountain.
