Missing Blocks, Not Missing in Action

Hello Snaperinos and Frenz...

This post is a bit of a PSA for the community.

You may have noticed that our Witness has been missing blocks today. I wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know that, while there are indeed some technical difficulties at the moment, this isn't a case of neglect or abandonment.

A series of events completely outside of my control has led us to where we are today. The good news is that work on correcting the situation begins tomorrow. If everything goes according to plan, Snapie should be buzzing happily again on a brand-new server within the next few days.

I understand that some people may decide to remove their witness votes during this downtime, and while that's unfortunate, I completely understand. These things happen. What matters is that the new witness infrastructure will be fully under the control of me and my alter ego, Hive account@meno, giving us greater flexibility and reliability moving forward.

Now, because I refuse to leave you with a gloomy update...

This feature is becoming incredibly cool (at least in my completely unbiased bee opinion). Every week it grows more powerful, more useful, and honestly, more fun to play with. I genuinely think it's something that can bring a lot of joy and utility to Snaperinos around the world.
