Wednesday Walk - Tornado

We got hit by a fast microburst and trees were demolished everywhere. Later the confirmed a tornado touchdown.

I was in Chicago when it happened. This poor guy's umbrella got ruined.

He would try and aim it in the direction of the wind but then the wind would change again and turn it inside out again.

After a few times of this he gave up and accepted his fate of being soaked to the bone by the rain.

Meanwhile the city was dark and flickering. No full power outtages.

But as i went home I got the bad news that we would have no power for three days...

Now on my commute into work for the past few days I've been wide awake from taking cold showers in the dark in the morning lol.

My wife and daughter had fun seeing what came out in the aftermath of the storm.

This katydid looked quite disoriented. It was easy to catch after getting blown around everywhere.

Thankfully it has been a cool summer and having no ac wasn't that bad. Power is on again and its time to post more.
