Trippy Thursday - Space Mines

A strange space mine floats in the void of space. It is meant to delineate one alien culture's territory from another's.

So far the space mines are working at keeping territorial disputes resolved. But a rogue faction now is developing a series of probes to trigger the mines to remove the territorial borders. They use cheaply manufactured spike drones that are worth a fraction of what the space mines cost to produce.

In response new cheaper mines are produced to counteract the spike drones. These ones attack the drones before they can hit the expensive mines.

In response an even faster spike drone is produced to blaze past the spike mines. Thus the borderland of this sector of space is littered with tons of debris and an ever evolving race to the bottom of destructive drones and mines.

Behind the scenes the two main space alliances are developing a kill switch to destroy all the mines and the drones in one fell swoop. This new alliance is planning on enslaving the rogue factions to work producing larger weapons so they can conquer new areas of unexplored space. They will need all the factions and rogue players in alignment if they are to defeat the larger reptilian alliance that uses psychic warfare to cause division in the alliance.
