Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing great and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.

It's time for another #Splinterlands Card Spotlight, and today I wanted to talk about a card that caught my attention recently.

The card is Ballista Deadshot.

It's a Common Fire unit, but don't let the rarity fool you. Sometimes common cards end up being way more useful than people expect, and I think Ballista Deadshot is one of those cards that deserves a closer look.

At Level 10 (max level) it gets three abilities that make it pretty unique, especially if you enjoy trying different strategies instead of always using the same lineup.

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤

The first thing I noticed was the artwork.

It looks like a strong orc loading up a massive crossbow, ready to launch a huge bolt across the battlefield. I honestly think the art fits the card really well.

Looking at the stats, here's what we get:

• Mana Cost: 13

• Magic Attack: 5

• Health: 9

• Armor: 5

• Speed: 5

Those are actually pretty solid numbers.

Five magic damage can hurt a lot, and having decent armor plus health means this unit isn't super fragile either.

The mana cost is definitely high though, so I don't think you'll be using it in low mana battles very often.

𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟏: 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭

Scattershot: Magic and Ranged attacks target a random enemy unit.

The first ability is Scattershot.

Instead of attacking a specific target, magic attacks hit a random enemy unit.

Now this can be both amazing and frustrating.

Sometimes you'll randomly eliminate an important support monster sitting safely in the backline.

Other times, you'll probably hit the one target you didn't want to hit.

That's part of the fun though.

It makes every battle feel a little unpredictable.

𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟐: 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥

Dispel: Removes magic buffs after a successful attack.

The second ability is Dispel.

Whenever Ballista Deadshot lands a successful attack, it removes magical buffs from the target.

This is actually really useful against opponents that rely on powerful buffs.

Sometimes removing just one important buff completely changes how the battle plays out.

It's not the flashiest ability, but it can make a big difference.

𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟑: 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭

Pinpoint: Allied sneak attacks cannot miss.

The last ability is Pinpoint.

This allows all allied Sneak attacks to never miss.

I honestly think this ability is really underrated.

Missing attacks because of Dodge or high Speed can be so annoying.

With Pinpoint active, your Sneak attackers become much more reliable and consistent.

If your whole strategy revolves around attacking the enemy backline, this ability can help a lot.

𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬

After looking through everything, I think Ballista Deadshot is a card that's built around utility just as much as damage.

Sure, the five magic attack is nice.

But the combination of Scattershot, Dispel, and Pinpoint gives the card a very different feeling compared to most ranged units.

You never really know exactly where the attack will land, and that's actually kinda exciting.

Sometimes random attacks create opportunities that you couldn't plan for.

I also like how it supports Sneak teams without directly attacking the same targets.

That makes it flexible in different lineups.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞

After checking everything, here's what stood out to me:

• High ranged damage.

• Strong armor and decent health.

• Scattershot keeps battles interesting.

• Dispel removes annoying buffs.

• Pinpoint makes Sneak attacks much more reliable.

Overall, that's a pretty nice package for a common card.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞

Of course, there are a few downsides too.

• Very high mana cost.

• Scattershot can sometimes hit the wrong target.

• Doesn't fit every ruleset.

• Needs the right team to really shine.

Still, none of these are deal breakers.

They're just things to keep in mind when building your lineup.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍

Overall, I think Ballista Deadshot is a really fun card.

It's not one of those cards that simply attacks every turn and that's it.

Instead, it brings randomness, utility, and team support all together.

I especially like the combination of Scattershot and Dispel because you never know which enemy support monster might suddenly lose an important buff.

And if you're using Sneak attackers, Pinpoint is a very nice bonus that makes your strategy even stronger.

I honestly wouldn't underestimate this card just because it's common.

Sometimes the best cards aren't always the legendary ones.

Sometimes it's the common cards that quietly win you games.

I'll definitely be paying more attention to Ballista Deadshot in future battles.

Maybe I'll even build a team around it just to see how much value I can get from those abilities.
