Meet Ivan, one of the last remaining self-settlers in Chernobyl. Like many others, Ivan was sent to Kiev, away from his home in Paryshiv, as a result of what turned out to be the world’s worst nuclear disaster. Despite warnings of radiation, he eventually made his way back, choosing the risk of illness over city life. Paryshiv, Ukraine
