Enjoying the Weekend in the Old Town and Exploring the Local Food Scene
Hi bloggers and community! Have a great weekend and enjoy your weekend. Still in the Old Town area of Kesawan, Medan, I enjoyed a sunny afternoon and the lively atmosphere of the city.
I took a leisurely stroll around town, soaking up the afternoon sun as I walked around the central square and watched people enjoying the sports facilities there.
Besides strolling around town, I also tried some dishes that caught my eye, it just wouldn’t feel right not to grab a snack at a time like this so I decided to stopped at Seng Hap 1881 and bought some food. I bought 'Nasi Cakalang or Shredded Skipjack with Rice', 'Mini Cream Puffs', and 'Risoles'. I tried the cakalang fish with rice, which featured shredded skipjack fish with onion sambal, fried noodles, and rice—a perfectly satisfying combination. For something sweet, I bought these mini cream puffs. These two dishes were enough to refuel me before continuing my stroll around the city.
After a while, I decided to stop by this coffee shop. The building is beautiful and charming; this coffee shop is quite famous here. The place is quite spacious with an aesthetic interior that’s comfortable to hang out in.
They offer a variety of drinks, from coffee to non-coffee options. I haven't been drinking coffee lately, so I ordered a cookies and cream drink and a beef-and-cheese salt bread roll filled with minced beef and cheese chunks.
Okay, that’s all for today’s journey. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy this post!
