Freewrite writing prompt Day 2816 : Expectation

Nema was busy preparing a special meal for her friend who is coming to town.
It's been like almost three years since they saw each other.
Though they have been communicating on the phone and most times do video calls.
So, it was as if they still saw each other physically daily.

Nema was extremely happy that finally she got a job in town and would stay with her for sometime before she sorts her accomodations.

She finished preparing the food on time, relaxed a bit after doing some clean up.
Then,she got a call from her friend Nancy that she is already at the junction she directed her to.

Nema quickly dressed up and went inside to meet her, she got to the junction and saw someone waving in her direction, which she ignored because that doesn't look like her friend she knew and have been communicating with.

She had to call her on the phone to be sure she was at the junction only for the person waving at her to answer and say "I am the one at your front, Nema".

Nema was just so surprised and disappointed at the same time.
This wasn't what she was expecting, this blew her expectations.

Is this really who she has been communicating with?

Nema tried to hide her disappointment as she apologized to Nancy and welcomed her directing her to her house.
