Perhaps - A Short Poem
Perhaps
Laying under the midnight sky
Light breeze in the trees
Perhaps it was just a dream
Maybe even a memory
The night drags on
Time stands still
Stars twinkling above my eyes
Wandering mind
Seeking thrills
But alas I am confined
From fear of future uncertainty
Of walking through life blind
Perhaps there is an urgency
My solace I must find
As I lay still
Beneath the moon
Perhaps now it is my time
