Keep It Simple, It’s Life

Life is simple, it’s actually us who complicate everything because tell me why I sometimes wake up and create problems for myself just to solve it all by myself again.😂

I can tell you for a fact that life is not easy. As we grow, we come to face reality and that’s when we realize that there’s more to life than what we actually knew. As kids, we would always hear people complain about this and that and we who had little to nothing to worry about would just sit there in ignorance.

Growing up, I’ve come to learn so many things which have changed my life and way of thinking. I’ve learnt from every one of my mistakes, taken good advice from people and also worked to improve myself on a personal level. Today, a friend said something which stuck with me and I really felt it. She said ‘be so good at what you do that no one can reject you’. There are many things I’d like to share with you but the first of the list is NEVER STOP LEARNING. Truth is, you never stop learning because life itself is a school. The moment you stop learning, I’d assume you think life is not worth living anymore.

I will keep saying this over and over again until we all come to terms with it. No one owes you and you also don’t owe anyone in this life. Why do I say this? Looking at our world today, we see how people tend to be entitled over things they don’t even deserve. Once I had an encounter with one lady where she acted like I owed her something because of what she had done for a group of people in the past. She even had the nerve to ask me if those people were important to me and why wouldn’t I choose her over them. I was so pissed because I just couldn’t believe she had so much audacity to say this to me. I just told her no one owes her anything and if she does things for people because she expects something in return then it’s best she quits doing them at all. No one owes you in life, stop being entitled. You don’t owe anyone, don’t allow anyone pressure you because of what they’ve done for you in the past.

Finally, i’d love to tell you to live for yourself. Most of us have lived in the shadows of others all our life and now we don’t even know who we are. Our whole life has been dictated by others to the extent that we can’t do anything good for ourselves. Put a stop to that today. Live your own life the way you want to. Do all the crazy stuff you wish to do, work towards those goals, learn from your mistakes and keep going because it is only when you live life your own way that you feel fulfilled. You wouldn’t want to look back 15 years later only to realize you wasted your life away just for another person. Just do you and know that everyone is replaceable so always put yourself first!
