Sometimes a Shimmer (James Rustic)
Sometimes a shimmer
Glistens out of her orbs,
Calling me hither
'Til she fully absorbs;
Thoughts which constantly spin
Of her, pulling me in.
Sometimes a shimmer
Shines in her hair,
Bright as the sun in summer,
Against her skin, so fair;
So much so, she's unaware
Of the beauty she bears.
Sometimes a shimmer
Flows from her words,
In the hope she delivers,
In all I have heard;
If only she would realize
The strength I see in her eyes.
Sometimes a shimmer
Enlightens my life,
A woman that won't waver,
Nor succumb to the strife;
And now, knowing her name,
I pray she will feel the same.
