Stitched Architectural Art

In order to obtain a seamless large-scale photo, as I did in the first photo, I had to make a step-by-step plan. First of all, when I saw the building, which had a fascinating, high Gothic architecture, I realized that the picture of it in its current state would not be able to show all of the beautiful details of the facade. Therefore, I had to make a collage out of about 13 photos (I could not upload all of them due to limitations) , which I took one after another. Moreover, I had to stitch them together while working in the computer to create this huge collage.

As you can see, this process allows to create a picture, which can engulf you completely, as if you were there, where the camera was. It actually allows to feel the verticality and grandiosity of the cathedral, which can be seen on the photo.

But in order to enhance the impression of grandiosity and mystical beauty of the building, I decided to play with the means of cinematic language and chose a grey-blue palette. I think that this choice made the cathedral look even more mysterious and dramatic, adding some horror-movie vibes to the old building.
