Some friends are more like family | LOH #291

Hard times are a certainty. In everyone's life, there are times when things don't go the way we want. Things become so difficult in the moment. We struggle just to navigate life in that moment.

Usually, in that moment, we need someone to come through for us. We usually can't do it ourselves in such moments. Such situations can be so overwhelming. It could feel like there's no hope. It's could feel discouraging.

It could be at any point in our lives. It could be in school, it could be at work, it could be in relationships. People may even be facing problems others will never know about unless they open up.

There has been a difficult time in my life when someone was there to support me. I was in my final year in school. I was struggling financially. My parents did their best, but the demands of school at that moment was a lot, and I knew they had other bills. I had to figure out how to sort many financial needs myself.

As if that was not enough, the academic stress was so much. I was always busy with academic stuff that there was barely any time to sort out my finances. I was struggling to balance finances and my academics.

Fortunately for me, I had a friend who got to know how much I was struggling and he helped me so much financially. He helped me pay bills. Back then , there would be sudden information to pay for one thing or the other. In such moments, he would lend me the money to sort it out.

I remember when I was trying to sort out my project. He helped me out a lot with the finances to complete it. He was more like a brother to me and I just think he was in my life at the exact right moment. I'll always be grateful to him for his support.

I guess it's true when they say that some people come into your life and have the most profound impact. Those are the kind of people I keep hoping to come across.
