The tree - a freewrite kinda poem

Good evening Hive, I wrote a free-write kind on of poem tonight. I was not thinking of anything in particular just tapping away allowing my mind to create something different. - enjoy.

The Tree

I can reach all the way down

I imagine that’s what the tree would say

with my tap root, I can feel your dissatisfaction

with your life today

Your merciless scorn echos through mother (earth)

Oh, how your cries sound like hooves of clambering beasts

fleeing from dark things in your past, not at ease

and your feet fleeing on rabbit paws

and your eyes wide and your jaw clenched tight

and your heart, ah, I can feel it's beat

speeding up as you think I speak

and before you realize

I'm just a tree

Your going to run into me.
