Dreams - a free flow poem
My eyes closed and I began to dream
Not a dream that sleep inspires
But one that is born of deep breaths
And calm minds
And legs twisted like pretzels
I think meditation is the proper word
But I just call it dreams
In these dreams, reality will not touch me
Will not touch my fragility
Hanging on by a thread
Twisting in the unconsciouse
Naked and afraid in the chilling dark
I don't control these dreams
Not am I lead by them
I can suggest paths to travel
Or to avoid
Or I can simply end the illusion
Eyes wide open usually does the trick
That or a knock on the door...
