Ketogenic diet explained
By now most of us have heard the term keto diet or some us might actually been on it. For those of us that don't know what it is here's a simple breakdown.
High fat, moderate protein and low-carb diet which puts you in a state called ketosis. Ketosis causes the body to burn fat rather than carbs. In other words you get your energy from fats which has major weight loss and health benefits.When carbs are low than your body is forced to use fats (ketones).
How it works:
Protein: 20–25%
Fat:70–75%
Carbs:5–10%
