Book review: Murdle

I recently picked up something a little different, a puzzle book, and it turned out to be way more fun and exciting than I expected. It’s not something I usually go for, but I’m really glad I gave it a chance.

Lately, I found myself going down a bit of an overthinking spiral, worrying about things that aren’t really logical or even relevant right now, like the idea of future memory loss. It made me realize how easy it is for your mind to drift into unnecessary stress.

That’s actually what made this puzzle book such a great find. Sitting down and working through puzzles forces you to slow down, focus, and stay present. It feels like a mental reset, engaging, challenging, and surprisingly calming at the same time.

The book I got is Murdle, and it mixes logic puzzles with a fun mystery theme, which makes it even more enjoyable. Instead of just solving problems, you feel like you're uncovering clues and piecing together a story.

What I’ve taken from this is simple, keeping your mind active doesn’t have to feel like work. It can be something you genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s puzzles, reading, or learning something new, giving your brain a bit of stimulation can go a long way in improving your overall mindset.

If you’ve been feeling mentally stuck or just want something different to do, I’d definitely recommend trying something like this. You might be surprised how much you enjoy it.
