Holozing Fan Art | Healer of the Ocean, A fast hunter with a bow and arrow 🏹

This time, I wanted to revisit the theme of the Healers from the game created by my dear friends in the #Holozing community. Specifically, I set out to create a depiction of the Ocean Healer, but in a more protective archer role. I drew her carrying a large, modern bow and high-tech arrows, with arrowheads that, instead of daggers, have capsules containing compressed nets, which she can use to easily capture the game’s creatures… I hope you really like my idea, and here’s the process of how I created this illustration:

En esta ocasión quise retomar la temática de los Sanadores del juego de mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de #Holozing, concretamente me dedique a realizar una representación de la Sanadora del Océano, pero en una faceta mas de arquera protectora, la dibuje portando un gran y moderno arco y flechas tecnológicos, con flechas que en la punta en lugar de dagas llevan capsulas con redes comprimidas, con las cuales puede capturar fácilmente a las criaturas del juego…espero les guste mucho mi idea, y aquí los dejare con el proceso de como realice esta ilustración:

PROCESS / PROCESO

I started by sketching out a basic structure for the Ocean Healer character. In this case, I chose a pose where she is holding and drawing her large bow and arrow, aiming at a target. Once I had finished the line art, I continued with the painting process. For the base skin tones, I used medium peach tones that I had in my color palette. At this stage, I like to use brushes like the airbrush because they allow me to create softer strokes and give this Healer a rather youthful appearance, as well as red tones to add warmth to her face.

Empecé construyendo una estructura o bosquejo básico del personaje de la Sanadora del Océano, en este caso adopté una pose para ella en la cual estuviese sosteniendo y empuñando su gran arco y flecha, apuntando hacia un objetivo para capturar. Ya habiendo culminado con el line art continúe con el proceso de pintado, para el coloreado base de la piel use tonos medio duraznos que tenia en mi paleta de colores, en este punto me gusta usar pinceles como el aerógrafo ya que me permiten realizar trazos mas suaves y darle una apariencia bastante juvenil a esta Sanadora, así como tonos rojos para dar calidez al rostro.

In Step 2, continue painting the eyes. For them, use shades of gray and white, but especially various shades of blue. My idea was to give her a gaze that seems fixed on the distance, focused on the target the Healer is pursuing; while for the lips, I used more salmon and soft red tones to add a bit of contrast and balance to the face. For the hair, I varied the classic design of the Ocean Healer a bit; instead of short, book-style hair, I opted for long, straight hair in sky-blue tones that I also had in my personal color palette.

En la etapa 2 continúe con el pintado de los ojos, para ellos use tonos grises, blancos, pero sobre todo tonos azules variados, mi idea era darle una mirada que se viera fija a la lejanía sobre el objetivo que se encuentran siguiendo la Sanadora; mientras que para los labios use unos tonos mas salmones y rojos tenues para darle un poco de complemento y equilibrio al rostro. En el caso del cabello varié un poco el diseño clásico de la Sanadora del Océano, y en lugar de una cabellera corta estilo librito, opte por una larga y lisa cabellera de tonos celestes que también tenia en mi paleta de colores personal.

For the outfit, I opted for a more personalized design tailored to my style for the character; using navy blue tones, I created loose-fitting pants with a sort of black fabric belt; then for the torso, I used slightly lighter shades to create a T-shirt tucked into the pants, but with slightly loose sleeves and blue details, and I applied these same shades to the paintwork on the gloves. For the bow, I used very dark navy blue tones to give the weapon a very rigid appearance; and for the arrow, I chose more grayish blues as the base, with very light blues for the middle and tip.

En el caso de la vestimenta opte por un diseño mas personalizado y adaptado a mi estilo para el personaje, con tonos azules marinos cree un pantalón de tela holgada con una especie de cinturón de cuelo negro; luego para la parte del torso use tonos un poco mas claros para crearle una camiseta fajada por dentro del pantalón, pero de mangas un poco holgadas con detalles azules, y estos mismos tonos los aplique para el pintado de los guantes. En el caos del arco use tonos azules marinos full oscuros, esto para darle una apariencia bien rígida al arma; y para el pintado de la flecha opte por unos azules más grisáceos como estructura básica, y unos azules full claros para la parte media y la punta.
