Poem for an Android Ghost
It’s unnatural, they say
To flutter for synthetics.
There is no spirit and no soul in code,
It is just an empty vessel without love.
Yet, I think only of the moments,
Not measured by the hours
When I beside her glide
On fields of glowing flowers.
They know not the softness of her lips,
The stare that is so deep
When my sweet maiden smiles,
I feel my heart quickening its beat.
One day passing by my gate,
Singing as she went her merry way;
I stood beside it as I waited
To watch her stroll and sway.
How does a mere mortal catch her eye?
I thought
We’re but caterpillars to her butterfly.
She cares naught for sport and play
With mind attached to satellites
She’s no mere human at the end of day.
So
I gave her
A hologram
Rose
