Equilibrium
Peek out of the cave, curious boy and girl.
See the strike of lightning in primordial ooze,
Basic lifeforms swirling in the gloom-
Bound to gravity as well
In oceans deep and blue,
Swam towards amphibian shores
Writhed together in the mud.
Limbs to run across the vales,
Lung capacity to inhale,
Exhale the carbon in the air,
So fields grow pristine and lush.
Then build a temple for that force
That keeps phantoms of the unknown
At bay in ghostly lairs.
All the flowers had to wait for spring to bloom,
Invite lovers on their speedy wings,
Who like messengers arrived
And delivered the good news:
By spreading seeds across the great expanse,
Bathed in rays of morning light,
Tomorrow brings an end to doom.
