AFRITUNES WEEK 73 | Most High by Flavour Ft. Semah
Welcome to Afri-tunes Community; a community where we share, listen to and enjoy African music and tunes on Hive.
This is the 73rd week of our weekly contest on Hive. I encourage you to do well to subscribe, join in and present, as well as always check out for lovely African tunes in the Community.
Happy Sunday friends!
It's 2am here and I decided to present a song for Afri-tunes Community, but at the same time trying not to disturb my neighbours with my musical presentation. Thankfully, the Sound hole cover of my semi acoustic guitar aided in reducing the sound from the guitar, and then I tried singing softly amidst my weak voice.
I was pondering on the song I'll present, my first choice was Ije Awele by Flavour ft Umu Ogbiligbo. But trying to sing the lyrics, I discovered that the Igbo language there was way beyond what I'll learn and sing in few hours. Although I'm from the South Eastern part of Nigeria (Abia state), my knowledge of Igbo isn't so deep like those who were born and brought up in the state. This is because I grew up in Lagos and had my Tertiary education in Ibadan, Oyo State. I only travelled to my Home Town for visitation.
Well, enough of the True life story (lol). So I had to skip the song, and I searched for another song by Flavour. Then I found the perfect song, Most High. I felt it was perfect because I've practiced the lyrics before, so I'm familiar with it. Hence, I decided to give it a shot.
Shey I dey enter your eyes? I'm single and searching ooo (lol)
Most High by Flavour is a song that speaks about praising God amidst our choked up or mundane activities. Flavour uses his "daily schedule" to emphasise how praising God is more important than other days in his life.
I hope you enjoy this lovely romantic piece from Me.
